Tenancy
Information
Security deposits equal to
one month's rent are required to secure the rental of any
unit. Security deposits will be returned within 45 days of
tenant moving from their apartment. Security deposits
cannot be used as the last month rent of any tenancy.
Credit reports will be obtained for all prospective tenants
who submit a rental application and security deposit.
Applicants with credit reports showing accounts currently
in collection will be rejected. Other credit issues will be
considered on a case by case basis.
Utilities included in the monthly rent are heat and water.
Cooking gas, electricity, telephone and other utilities are
the responsibility of the tenant. Meeting with servicemen
to install these utilities is the responsibility of the
tenant.
Apartments are heated with radiators. Air conditioning is
not provided. Tenants may supply their own window units.
Parking is not provided. Street parking is pretty good by
Chicago standards. You cannot park on Ashland Ave overnight
during the winter as it is a snow route and the city will
tow. At present Carmen and the surrounding side streets do
not require parking stickers by the City of Chicago.
Coin operated laundry on premises on alley side of
building.
Up to two cats are OK.
No dogs.
